The online film and sound working group provides advice on
collecting and development priorities through a process which identifies
and responds to user needs and supports the execution of the JISC
Collections Strategy.

Statement
The core aims of the online film and sound working group,
as defined in the JISC Collections Strategy:

Secure access to a critical mass of high quality moving picture and sound
collections including discovery tools

Develop a service environment to support their use in learning, teaching
and research

Engage with rights owners to develop a shared consensus about access
terms and conditions

Share best practice in clearing rights with institutions
The online film and sound working group prepares and annually updates a
two-year work programme, consisting of a schedule of
activities and target outcomes, for annual endorsement by the JISC
Committee for Content Services.
